Last call: the 41st Stellar Awards leave broadcast syndication on Sunday

The syndication window that has carried the ceremony across local stations since September 5 closes September 27. If it has not aired in your market yet, this weekend is the end of the run.

The 41st Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards close their national broadcast syndication run on Sunday, September 27. The window opened on September 5, and for three weeks local stations have been slotting the ceremony into their own schedules — which is why it has aired on different nights in different cities, and why some markets are only getting to it now.

If you have been meaning to watch it, this is the weekend. Air dates and times vary by market, so the only reliable listing is your own local station's.

The ceremony was taped on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kirk Franklin hosted. The theme was "Feels Like Home." It premiered on The Stellar Network on August 29 and on BET on August 30 before entering syndication.

WHAT YOU ARE WATCHING FOR: Lisa Knowles-Smith won five awards, four of them for "Revival: Live in Dallas" with The Brown Singers — the Albertina Walker Female Artist of the Year award, Duo/Chorus/Group of the Year and Quartet of the Year with The Brown Singers, Producer of the Year with Frederick Perry, and Song of the Year for "Promises (Live)."

Darrel Walls won Artist of the Year and Contemporary Male Artist of the Year for "Heart of Mine." Vincent Bohanan & SOV won three, including Album of the Year for "Live in New York." Jonathan McReynolds, John P. Kee and Jekalyn Carr each won more than once.

Two honours were given outside the competitive categories: Tasha Cobbs Leonard received the Aretha Franklin Icon Award, and Pastor Mike Jr. received the Thomas A. Dorsey Most Notable Achievement Award.

After Sunday the next date on the calendar is the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, on Tuesday, October 6 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, with the broadcast on TBN and the TBN+ app on Friday, October 9.
