FORREST FRANK has a date. "The Jesus Generation," his new album, arrives December 4 on River House Records, according to an announcement carried by CCM Magazine on October 28. The record takes its name from his May single, a song built on Frank's conviction that a spiritual awakening is under way across the country, most of all among young people.

The guest list reaches well past the worship lane: Lecrae and KB, JVKE and Michael W. Smith are among the collaborators. New music from the album is due this Friday, October 30. The announcement follows his sold-out, 29-city Jesus Generation Tour, and a theatrical film documenting that tour is set for 2027 through Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company.

DONNIE McCLURKIN has made his last record, and he says so plainly. "FINALLY," released October 16 on Camdon Music with distribution by Syntax Creative, is the album he has called the end of his recording career. Its lead single, "Better Afterwhile," went to No. 1 on the Billboard gospel chart, and "Lord, I Thank You" followed as the second single. McClurkin announced in 2025 that he was stepping back from the music industry to focus on ministry. A farewell is rarely this deliberate, and rarely this well received.

CHARITY GAYLE went to Christmas early. "His Name Shall Be," released October 23, is a 13-track worship project that sets original songs beside carols, produced by Kyle Lee and Ryan Rich. The title track draws on Isaiah 9, and the record runs from "Repeat The Sounding Joy" through "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" to "Emmanuel" and "In The Presence Of The King," its lead single.

ALSO THIS MONTH: JJ Hairston's "Anthems & Prayers (Live)" is out on all major streaming platforms, pairing congregational worship with recorded prayer. And Marvin Sapp's seventeenth album, "Restoration," his first through Roc Nation Distribution, is still promised for this fall. No release date has been officially announced, so treat any date you see as unconfirmed until it comes from Sapp or Roc Nation.

Earlier this month, the 57th GMA Dove Awards in Nashville named Phil Wickham Artist of the Year, and the 41st Stellar Awards winners list put Darrel Walls on top as Artist of the Year. Gospel News Access will report Frank's new single on Friday.
